tamiya 35 scale SAS Jeep

Here I have to show a tamiya sas jeep

I built this about 2 years ago very pleased with how it turned out

I used the salt technique ie prime paint rust brown then wet the model with water droplets then sprinkle salt onto model when dry airbrush dessert sand colour when dry wipe off salt with a wet q tip

I think it's a great weathering technique for beginners like myself

The base is a bit of roofing slate real stuff not the modern synthetic rubbish I then covered it in pva glue and added ground up house brick and grit then airbrushed it the palm tree is a bit of brass rod covered in a thin strip of muslin then the leaves are fuse wire with masking tape folded over it then cut out the shape of leaf and then cut all the slits took.ages with very good scissors hope you like it

    All the best Roger

Yep! He seems is alone on an island!! lol

The chipping technique with the salt looks very well done, the effect is perfect.

This Jeep is a lovely Tamiya classic! I started it some time ago, but never finished yet!!!

See yours, it gives me a motivation

Excellent build of an old classic, did great with the salt chipping effect, something I still haven't tried yet and the base is very effective.

Hi Roger, nice work mate, the Jeep and figures are nicely finished. I like the scene, it looks like it has leapt out of a war comic.
