    Quick weekend build...

    Hey all,

So this weekend I decided to take a short break from an aircraft commission that been keeping me busy for a while now. And here's the result - 1/35 Tamiya BMW R75 - cute little kit.

Interesting point Quentin on a very nice build.

What point in time was this? Always a bit sceptical, my apologies, about the age of motorcycles as I come from the 1950's era in owning a MC. In the 40's my father had motorcycles.

Notice this has telescopic forks which at least on English Bikes came in after WW11. Not sure about German models. Be interested to find out more.

                            Hi Laurie,

This bike is an example of what was in German service during WW2 (in the 40's). This particular model is painted in German Afrika Corps colours. The Germans also used the Zundapp KS750 alongside the BMW.

Not sure about the telescopic fork comment, but all example of the R75 from that era that I've seen, do indeed have telescopic forks.

                            Hope this helps,

                            Quintin
