I would obviously be wary of using other models as reference guides!

Ryan, your first step should be looking at which tank you'd like to depict. There were only a small number of Tiger II battalions, so actual vehicle information is reasonably easy to come by.

From my information, there is relatively

little evidence of Tiger II's wearing specific winter camo.

Hastily applied whitewash was the order of the day, although that was the exception, rather than the rule.

this tank was in russia, 1944. but i can't find any reference that shows it in winter camo. i will still go ahead to put on the winter camo...sort of a What If kind of build....

Thing is Ryan the Germans never had an official winter camo , the paint was just added when needed

It appears to me that they were just painted in white wash

Hi I remember doing a winter camo scheme on a king tiger ages ago, the pictures should be in here somewhere, and Alan is correct the germans never had a specific winter camo scheme all their camouflage was based around dark yellow, olive green and chocolate brown. Winter camo paint was just thinned white paint applied to the tank over the existing camo scheme to break up the vehicles outline and shape.
