i think its some kind of blanking plate, to go over the hole if they remove the mg

IIRC it is a gun port blanking plate the chain thing is so it can pulled into place from the inside-either that or it looks to be fastened to the outside so can removed if needed.


What ever, it is a gun port plate.

Defo a blanking plate.


It's manually fitted and removed, the chain is to stop it getting lost!
