    12th SS Panther 1944 Camo

    Hi guys

I have finally got to the end camo painting part of my panther build.

Has anyone got any nice camo pics or suggestions for a panther in or around Falaise?

There is a four part article on the topic on the website linked below that has some information on two variants of the ambush pattern.

There is very little hard evidence of the 12th SS panzers camo schemes - especially for Panthers, P IV's are much better documented.

From these 2 pics that I've got, a Dunkelgelb base with olive green & red brown striping would be ok

Sorry Dave, but the ambush pattern was applied by the factory post August 1944, so it wouldn't work with a Panther that's been fighting in Normandy since June / July

Not a problem, I came across the page looking for something else a couple of days ago, and put it forward as a possibility.

I've gone for this camo. I hate line camo

                I found so many versions.

But as we know it was all applied at the front with loose guide lines. Thoughts?

In the end I went for green island. I found nice photos on the 12th at the close of the Falaise pocket.

                  I'll add some photos later.
