Mastiff's on the move

Follolwed 6 of these out of Donnington this morning on my way to work, all on the back of low loaders and boy they are big brutes!!, funny thing was the 'convoy' vehicle got stuck at the traffic lights, while the Mastiff's went sailing on up the dual carriageway. took the convoy vehicle a couple of miles to catch them back up. Everyone seems to go on about having to have etch for the 'bar' armour but it looked to me to be as narrow as a house brick on the real things, lol.

An interesting beast, but why reinvent the wheel when there are already proven mine resistant wheeled vehicles on the market or was it a case of haveing a budget and having to burn it??

What models are available for this? Would like one or better yet, the Wolfhound which was the cargo version.
