    First time doing rubber tracks

Doing a Tamiya german halftrack and it's the first time doing rubber tracks was just wondering will poly cement work on them or so you have to use a different glue?

That's not entirely correct since the newer Tamiya kits happily bonds with cement, and so does many other makes of "rubber band" tracks. Older ones certainly doesn't work at all, but I only use cement on all of my such tracks. If you don't want to try or doesn't trust your cement, CA glue is your friend!

I can't say exactly when these tracks became glue-able with cement but Tamiya post 2002 for sure.

It is however easier to use CA glue since it sets much faster.
