    T-34/85 Track colour (Tread color!)

    Hi,
anyone know what the original factory colour of WW2 T-34/85 or Su100 tracks would be?

Were they left in bare metal or painted or chemically treated?
Were spare links mounted on the hull be painted green to match the factory camouflage?
Would tracks in use be left to rust?

I want to add some spare links but don't know if they should be rusted or painted? Would they be different finishes from different factories?

    thanks, Bob
