    Why 1/76th

I bought a Cromwell tank because my wee boy wanted one. I always resisted tank due to the scale not being exactly the same as my aircraft at1/72nd.

So why do they not sync the two of them?

    Thanks.

Because 1/76 scale comes from railway 00 scale.

Ok I've had a read but I'm still confused as to why you would tie tanks in with railway.

its basically that the scales were tied in so all the models and accessories could be added and displayed with OO gauge railway dioramas which at the time were the most popular as i understand it.
