... I thought the fire extinguisher looked a bit out of scale, but I guess its right for the period.

They look like spare shells to me Andrew.

The shells are stored in the turret!!! Also these are to be painted dark green. I wondered if they are either part of the cooling system or form some part of the armour

                  Cheers, Andrew

Apologies to Patrick (dubster72) I think you are right, a quick search of the internet reveals spare ammo canisters were stored in the sides of the lower hull!!!!

Any how, heres how they look....

                          Very nice work

The detail level is magnificent for a 1/35 model

                            Hi Andy

Sorry, I totally missed this build until now.

The Academy armour kits really are quite detailed aren't they. I remember years back using Academy M10 suspension and wheels to detail a Sherman V I was building as a kit bash (before the days of Dragon and Tasca super kits).

I really like the Achilles tank destroyer and you're making a great job of this kit.

                            Looking forward to further progress.

                            Cheer

Cheers guys for the kind comments. I was very impressed with the level of detail and quality of fit, its almost Tamiya standard in my opinion

                              Cheers, Andrew
