That's looking good & the colours are different, which makes a nice change.

actually they are the same three colours used on late WW2 German Panzers............it called for dark yellow, green and brown.....but the pattern is just bold bands....i actually got it a bit wrong looking back but i aint redoing it lol

        couldnt wait any longer lol

used a blob of blutac to rub over the surface to remove the maskol and ended up with this

now the interesting bit.............since i used an enamel varnish at the start i can use enamel thinners to reactivate the weathering powders

plan is to try and move the powders around a bit and make some streaks

need to do a bit more cos i think i got heavy handed, need to be more subtle, but then the whole thing was to try out the technique

going to try and clean up the streaks a little, then let it really dry off so i can give it a coat of Kleer, then i can add a wash

got to the point of adding the tracks

these are probably the weakest thing in the kit. they are about 10mm too long so had to do a little trimming

also wish i had given a dust wash before i attached them.....brain fade moment and cant take them off again cos i had to glue them on

                  calling this finished

I could go on and do all sorts of weathering to it but I'm happy as it is and it was only done to try the maskol technique anyway

managed to take the tracks off carefully and give them a dust wash, and refit them

more pics in the finished thread
