Well I've made a start. Nothing too auspicious or worth a photo yet. Sent this afternoon cleaning up some teeny tiny suspension parts and fitting them together........ Which leads me to the Destructions ? Yesterday I went through them several times, trying to make some sense of the workflow....... and, they are crap. As I said I've put together a bit of the suspension. There is an arm with a fork in the end that I reckon must have a use and should fit to something when this little assembly goes on the hull...... There is nothing in the Destructions or anything that I can see on the parts that go with or over it...... in which case it's pointless........ I think this'll be a mission with a lot of dry fitting.

Peter, the first thing to do with Dragon instructions is to check the unused parts. Usually they're marked in blue on the sprue map.

Before commencing a build I snip them off & pop them into the spares box.

I think they should maybe employ someone who has a vague idea how to put a kit together ..... Whoever they have doing it at the moment obviously hasn't go a clue. :P

The destructions and parts show some details. Engine Transmission, Exhaust and a big "Boxlike" thing that I think is maybe a fuel tank. These are covered by the floorpan which goes on later. There are no indications in the destructions, but I think, having tried the floorpan that the top half of the body and floorpan is detachable. In which case I'll do some detailing inside as the present detailing is a bit Spartan. ........... Here is the page with the destructions.

absolutely right,I get so confused over them at times,

the above one is clear and you can follow without problem, but some on the superstition well,

Now we come to a question? These are the dry fitted parts for under the floorpan. I can't find anything on the net about what should be in there. So do I:

                    A) Just build it as is (A bit Spartan) ?

                    B) Detail it, and make it up as I go along with some wiring / pipework and stuff?

                    C) Not bother with any of it. Chuck the bits in the parts box and build it sealed up?

A note here the line forward of the transmission will be hidden under a bulkhead to the engine compartment........... But that's a separate issue...........

IMHO as it is... it's a bit bare & scratching up the extra details will be time-consuming, especially for something that'll never be seen.

I'd leave it & spend the time & effort on the crew compartment etc.

I reckon you are right Patrick......... I'll knock it together and just paint the lot a uniform colour.

I would much prefer an engine in it,then that way you can have open hatches,

I agree with the toss them in the parts bin idea. I never bother with unseen stuff myself. But then again Im probably gonna start doing things like that just because I haven't in the past. Totally your call , I will be watching this one. best of luck with the instructions.
