Thanks for your positive posts, chaps.

I've added more bits and last night I added the tracks. They were black plastic, so a couple of days ago I brushed the individual links in a base metal coat before I glued them together. I was pleasantly surprised just how straight forward this part of the build turned out to be..... even for my cack hands!

More bits and decals to add, then I can start the weathering in earnest - not to mention the pilot!

    Cheers.

        Your zimmerit looks fantastic!!!
I can't remember the name of the paste stuff you guys are using for zimmerit so can you please let me know again? I'm done with decals and vinyl sheets - although I don't regret testing because you never know until you've tried, but your zimmerit looks a lot more realistic than any of the currently on market solutions!

You should build tanks more often because I really like what I see here!

Thanks boys. I'm chuffed you approve of my model thus far.

Jens, I used the ordinary white powder wood filler mixed with diluted PVA.

          Thanks again, all.

Thanks for your comments and support Tom. I appreciate it.

More bits added and first stage weathering. (Tracks and hull bottom, etc.) I'm after a sort of dusty, rather than muddy look to the tank.

              Acrylics for the weathering.

Doesn't look much different from the previous images - but there is, everything is toning down nicely.....

Next up, because of the zimmerit, I'll have to paint on the turret numbers and the two hull balkenkreuz. Then more weathering.

              Cheers.

                A little update...
I've managed to get away with having to hand paint the numbers etc. - I've used the decals on top of the zimmerit, and surprisingly, they've turned out just fine!

I've also subdued the colours a bit more, to try and get closer to the dusty look I'm after.

                Cheers.

Great job Ron. I think you've toned it down nicely and it does look a little dusty in that last photo.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you like the progress thus far.

Here's the Commander. I've given him a bit of a stubbly growth. Still a little bit of work to do on him, but he's not looking too bad.

Just catching up Ron and seen this beauty, crackin' work as always mate. Loving the Zim, the camo is spot on too.

                            Have fun, John
