Always preferred to feel the music as well as hear it, whether AC/DC or Wagner. Never much liked the feel of headphones or buds, but might reconsider if I had to do those tracks. PaulE

Nice and a different one Dave, seems to fit you nicely.:smiling:
Great looking progress on the assembly, good luck with the tracks, hope the grouping in three works out.:thumb2:

Ps. Avid Spotify user here too, indeed so much artists to find there.:smiling4:

I've tried a few ways to speed up the track assembly - I found a section of brass square pipe - about the right size - but when you look at the links closely - the guide horns splay out, so it's difficult to use them as a guide.....................Click image for larger version

I fell back onto double sided tape on a rule, with a straight edge to keep things tidy

It's not the quickest, or easiest - you have place each link with tweezers - some look a bit uneven - I'll have to straighten them out before fixing them with TET. I've managed to do both the roadwheel straight runs in about 1 1/2 hours, so it's going to take quite a while.
I do hope there are a few spares - the carpet monster has had a few snacks already :fearful:

My word Dave a battle royal if there ever was. I can see you beating it but if any of mine are like this I shall take up knitting.

Dave my hat goes off to you tackling those individual track links. I like the fact you use double sided tape onto a rule. :thumb2:

                  Hi Dave
Those track links do look difficult and time consumming.

                    Jim,
they're not particularly difficult - just fiddly. Time consuming? oh yes - I'm onto listening to OMD albums at the moment - I may get onto Ultravox before I finish the tracks!

At this stage, dry fitting is essential, so the idler to last return roller is tested

I'm wondering at what stage I will have to undercoat & basecoat. If I leave it too late it will be difficult to reach some places, too soon, and I'll run into problems adding further parts.
The wheels are attached to hinged brackets - at the moment, I can't see if there is a fixed ride height...............

Phew!!! I've finally assembled the track links into their individual runs - it's taken me quite a few hours, and many Albums on Spotify!!!Click image for larger version

I'm happy that I may only need a few single links to add at the joins. I'll need to assemble the wheeled portion of the running gear, before I prime & basecoat. I'm going to use the Dunkelgelb scheme, it's easier to weather than the Panzer Grey.....................
After I finish this build, I think I'm going to go for a simple wingy thing..................

The wheeled part of the suspension - It's complicated enough, but this is simplified! There's no steering arms etc... ( just as well! )

Mostly tiny pins sprung into tiny holes, not very strong.

These are very fragile, and as soon as I can work out a ride height, I'm going to securely glue all bits.

The rear axle, at the moment, it just flops around!

Again, when I get the ride height - it'll all be firmly fixed.

I'm almost ready to prime the bottom part - I'll use Stynlyrez Black Primer, followed with a basecoat of AK Dunkelgelb. I'll mask off the upper hull - there are a good few bits to add.
