Back to the Marder, cleaned up the paint splatter and will hide some of it with streaks and grime etc, its now had two thin coats of Vallejo satin varnish, the gun and shield are not correctly fitted so are loose

Started the weathering, added decals and pin washes. hoping to make the gun look a bit manky and dirt on the rivets etc.

Now I must take notes as I think I have this in my stash, not going to look as sitting in bed having tea and toast !
            Keep it coming .
Tea and toast, tea and toast, I do hope you are not one of these retirees that lay in bed till 09.00 every day - I do.

Good grief..... that is fantastic work with the paint, it really is. No overfilling of the 'holes', that is superb. I wish i could get the same results - pressure up - pressure down - to thin - too thick......
Looking forward to the end result - a job well done.
              Mike.

Wow, thanks Mike. Very much appreciated. Would never have thought it was that good!

Next step is to fit the ammo boxs which are painted, chipped and washed ready. Paint and add radio as well. Then mud worn floor etc with grime streaks on the inside walls. Never done a interior so time like the present!!

                    Many thanks Steve (again) !

Been working on the interior, added the ammo racks, radio etc , added pin wash and more on the floor to hopefully represent dirt on the tread plate.

will leave to dry and look at pigments next, then add the gun

                      Bob,
Nothing wrong with your build at all, If I have one comment it is that it does not look like a Stug .
                      Cheers, Mike.

Bob. No sign of my cheque ! its all very well sending Steve one, but he nevers shares.

Top rate paint work and I like the seats on the deck area.

Mike, its a very rare Stug convertible, good for after a curry lol

Still bouncing John, finest rubber. Thanks for the comments. Feel its going well but some areas to be addressed

                          Thanks both

Right chaps back at the bench and a first go with pigments (thanks Steve for the excellent advice!!), also started to chip and rust the hull, think I need to tone down the rust streaks??

now the question, have I over or under cooked the pigments?

also started to paint the tools, hence the strips of green paper

next up another first go at a exhaust, used pigments

Well done Bob!!! A wonderful first attempt at the pigments. I particularly like the floor. Once the wheels are on it will all come together nicely.

                                Yes I agree with Steve.
May I suggest some dirt on the floor, or have you not got that far yet ?
I was just thinking that after l looked at the hull sides that were really good .
