      morning all

this one got a black wash then a dry brushing with pale grey on the rocks, the rest Tamiya Buff followed by white

then a good dollop of AK North Africa pigment which was also dusted around the tyres

Base has come out really well. Very impressive. The vehicle is certainly loaded down. Will there be a figure on the base?

              Hi Simon
That final work has really brought this base to life. Looks very good.

                Oooh that's NICE!
I'm pleased the Sculptamould I recommended hasn't shrunk or cracked.........
what did you use for the base itself?

Cheers Pete - may fade the grass lumps a bit more

Steve - Thanks. There will hopefully be a figure or two, or even three. There are three in the set I got. Now the base is sorted I need to investigate them and see how they will fit in

                      Scottie - thanks

                      Jim - Ta very much

Neil - glad you did recommend the Sculptamold, it is miles better than the Celluclay.
If you mean the wooden base it was from this place - BASE
I got two or three of them. They used to have a discontinued section where they sold stuff off cheap so I picked them and some other shapes up for a bargain price. There used to be all kinds of interesting and odd wobbly shapes but all gone now - looks like they just do standard square, round etc unless you get bespoke items.

                      Thanks Andy

                      Si - thanks.

Wanted to up my painting game - I think it is heading in the right direction. Have spent way longer painting this than any other model - normally all my time would go into building
