    M50 SUPER SHERMAN

No one likes to see the sausage being made but I'm kind of bored so thought I would show a peek at next project, a long way to go of course.
Also a bit of a preview of next big dio in last few pics, sorry but I just had to fit a burnt corpse in, that's just me. All in early stages of course,
you'll just have to bear with me now that I am practically home bound due to medical condition, oh woe is you :tired:

    Hi Jim,
May want to change the title as that is actually a French 75mm armed M50 Sherman

Apparently none of them were ever officially designated super Sherman or isherman

I do rather like Israeli Shermans

Will this be just a stand alone or part of a dio?

Right you are Simon, must have been a typo on my part, though maybe not "officially" designated "Super Shermans"
it must have been a popular nick name.

Hi Jim - I believe it was one of those media things where someone called it a super Sherman and everyone else thought that was what they were called and so it just stuck, even though not officially designated as such

Sounds way better than just Sherman

If you want to change the 51 to 50 edit your first post and it will let you change the title

                Hi Jim
Super Sherman - certainly grabbed my attention. Truly modelling at its best and you have a style all your own :thumb2:

Thanks Jim, all looks a bit rough in the beginning and looks even rougher in the end :tongue-out:

Looks a great idea for a dio. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out

This dio will be set in the "East", panzers rolling through a wrecked obscure Russian village, the weather is turning cold
and the seemingly endless and featureless steppe dotted only with it's tiny isolated villages is beginning to wear on the psyche of the invaders.
Where does it end? When can we declare victory? or will we be swallowed up in this endless nightmare?

Just seen this one Jim. First of all I hope the medical condition isn't too serious. Cracking start on the build though. Looking forward to more updates.

Thank you Ian, was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure which is causing my severe COPD, WOW!
that sucks! But new meds are starting to work and I am starting to feel a bit better, felt near death for a while but am feeling a bit stronger every day.

Am working on both projects at the same time (as usual for me)
Getting the winter wood ready is consuming much of our time now plus everyone is starting to clamor for theirs all at the same time of course :rolling:
No one ever listens to my advice and invest in green wood starting spring, cheaper and more readily available early on in the season
But NOOOOOOOO.....every body wants scads of seasoned product NOW! Their denseness never ceases to amaze me

So work on dio will be slow but steady, vehicles are near completion, so is base, just waiting for figures via post
I think Mother forgot to order them but she will never admit as much. After a bit of ranting I'm sure the order is in by now

                          Cheerio! Jim

Well lets hope the new meds do kick in for you, and the postie delivers the figures soon.
