    Mark hi .
Yes remember it well, going to use the same photo. Like those figures, last time they were looking a Tractor that had gone through the bridge on one of my dio's.:smiling:
Hope my water comes out as well as yours. I've had leaks before so this time It's filled the whole area with a sealant, just hoping it works. I once lost half of a pour due to the thinnest of cracks. Time will tell as going to leave it for a week to dry out .

Hi John. Sorry to hear about the fit issues with the Zvezda kit, but I do like your perseverance. Some kits just fight you all the way and this seems to be of that camp!

On a happier note I do like your previous build - great diorama.
      Cheers

Thanks Paul, this one is bit of a b** but as its going to be half submerged in water it should pass muster.

No your right there Paul, nearly did , but thinking about those poor souls in Aus this is nothing.

            Just a short update.
The base has been sealed using that hybrid sealant

            .

            Other types are available !

Bit of fun trying to spread it as you can imagine, but managed in the end, them using the snow sieve I put a couple of layers of that soil on. Now the adhesive is supposed to paintable in any paint, but not wanting to risk it thought this was a better bet.

Going to be completely surrounded in the boggy river by plants, shrubs, and trees.
Should get some paint on the turret tomorrow, brown primer, then a coat of chipping before the top coat of good old 4BO .

Thanks for the support on this, appreciated greatly
            John.

Thanks Mike, if the plastic hadn't been warped on this it would be a nice kit. At least the Trumpeter one has a tub hull and is perfect .

                        Hi John

Problem - a difficult kit giving you grief.
Solution - dig a big hole and bury it.

                        Masterful Sir, just masterful!! :tongue-out3:

Seriously though John I think despite the issues this will be a great model.
                        Jim

Today did the final coat of brown Mig Primer, suitably thinned so it sprayed with out any problem. Once done and left to dry in the warm of the house I did a thick coat of Mig Chipping, did seem a little bubbly, poured some into a shot cup and left it to settle before spraying. Think I over did the thickness , but thew results were to my liking with the finish later.

Allowing it to dry with the help of a hair dryer I soon had a flat finish to lay the 4BO on. Then chipping followed.

To night the model has come into the house to fully dry in the warm, tomorrow a coat of gloss varnish to allow further weathering to follow.
