I shall paint the Flak 30 and its trailer in a different shade of PG for a contrast and to better define the PG extreme modulation I shall attempt

        More soon?

Probably Thursday as we are getting a home delivery tomorrow an it usually turns into a 3 ring circus

Nice to see you at the painting stage. I trust you will be using OPR on this model??

            Morning Steve

I hope to have a different PG on the Flak 30 as a contrast, I am going to try a grey/brown on the basic Pz IA chassis with the new metal in PG and fresh with the older base being chipped and everything in a dusty topping for a later summer in Russia.

Its too small and detailed for a white wash which could loose the modulation which is the main feature for the exercise.

Oil paint will be the main tool to take the extreme modulation back to a blended finish.

Thats the plan, we will see how it goes in reality!

Its been bright but a little too chilly in the garage since Tuesday, so it might be Sunday before I can AB again

            Thanks for popping by

It wont be anything like as detailed as your Bison.

Hope the commissions are progressing well

            regards

            Steve H

Laying patios and concreting hardstands this weekend so precious little time for modelling.

Its another beautiful day down here in Devonshire with the temperatures getting well into the 20's

Liking the late summer in Russia idea. Looking forward to seeing that very much indeed

              Stay safe

Hope you aren't too done in by your Easter patio work Steve?

                Thanks for popping by

An update as yesterday was cooler so out came the AB

The trailer in a slightly different PG

                Together

and a Black & White edit which shows why the grey/brown camo was missed for soooo long!

The remaining modulation will be by brush as this is currently the limit of my ultra low pressure fine needle AB skills, but it is getting better!

More soon, though I now need to build the Flak 30, I was hoping to have the crew figures, but nothing yet

                Regards

Couldnt move yeserday! :smiling5: Ceased right up. At my age the body doesnt recover as quickly as it used too. All done now thank you.

OPR - Oil Paint Rendering. I believe you are now well on the road to being an exponent of this technique JR?

Looking really good Steve!!! I like the idea with keeping in a tub so nothing goes amiss. It sort of looks like a Ruskie KV I drove over it and squashed it. Cool...…..
