JR, I can't imagine doing individual track links in my scale.....one would need one of those fancy space telescopes just to find the pins. I can understand the anguish it causes but the results are so rewarding. Friul on John!:thumb2: Rick H.

Very true Rick in your comments.

Well I have finished what I think is the right length, based on comparing one of the rubber tracks that came with the kit. I can always add more. Shan't paint these yet, until the quantities are right .
I've washed the plastic parts in an Isopol alcohol mixed with water, left them to dry over night, tomorrow should start the primer .
        Thanks for looking in .
        John .

Greeting stay at home people , and the ones that have to work.

To day tried some Precision Ice & Snow Wash .

Upper section is not attached yet, going to make sure the track are right in length first. Having done that I'll weather the tracks and fit followed by fitting the upper section. Going to do this in future on builds.

Quite pleased with the material, I did add some snow powder here and there, just placing it on to the wet surface, seems to have stuck as well .

Rear, I need of course to remove all snow from the exhaust area, but for a start I'm pleased.

This close up , apart from the tool not being painted, I just love the way the snow has built up around the tool and along the back.
Really impressed with the product. Just apply with a brush, allow to dry and add another coat if require. Simples !

          Comments welcome.

That has worked really well John. I've only used the Precision Ice and Snow wash on bases, and liked it, but the result you've got here is way better than anything I've achieved.

Strange stuff Peter, I didn't take any time, just brushed it on and dropped some snow powder here and there. Could be the latter that has made the difference. Had expected it to be a battle, refreshingly surprised.

Every time I see you have done an update I go and put my coat on first before reading it! :smiling5: :smiling2:

Very atmospheric use of the white stuff. Coming together very nicely mate.

Progress, today added the running gear, applied the decals and painted the tools.

Tried the tracks, need a few more links, but so much easier to do it this way.

Will apply more PSIW to the tools, thats why there was no need to paint to the edges.
