I’m far from good at that … I’m always amazed at the kinds of photos some other people here post, that I would never have been able to findThe one above I only found because I ended up at a site with a lot of PzKpfw III photos (I linked to it in the message) and just started browsing them.

Hi John
Despite the problems this is coming on a treat. Always amazes me how Jakko finds reference photos. I posted a thread about ref photos a while ago and Jakko pointed me to some very useful search ideas. I'll bet if you asked if mice ever built their nests in King Tiger turrets he'd find a photo :tongue-out3:
Love your buildings. Making the window frames reminds me of how balsa aeroplanes are built onto a plan. That tip of putting PVA onto the base the help the Sculptamould stick is worth noting. I have some of that Sculptamould but yet to try it.
Jim
The reason for the glue was just to give a good key, but I don't think it is a must, because sanding the edges free of Sculptamould that had gone over with out any glue was hard, it sticks like you know what !

Thanks Rick, and yes it is on its way. Just a drop in temperature to apparently what we should normally be having this time of the year. Hopefully it will be better weather by Thursday.

Today after a good walk at 0600 , an ungodly hr for me these days, but little chance in meeting any one I returned with the mojo high.
Spent most of the day doing the building.
The gaps in the roof are not important, another layer of timbers would be placed over the joins thus sealing the roof. The white card at the side will be covered in corrugated sheet, and the roof capped with a galvanized ridge sheet ( Pewter )
Main timbers will be coloured grey as in old wood, the door and window frame in heavily weathered paint.
An opening has been made in the card at the rear for the smoke stack. The rest of the roof has been planked ready to put this in place.
Top rate scratchery going on here. !!!
C&C Welcome, thank's for looking in.Comment

Thanks Paul, now the major works done I can carry on with the roof, I glued the smoke stack in tonight so tomorrow I should get the rest of the timbers and cloaking to the pipe done .
I have to alter the kit on the troops, my technical advisor has kindly pointed out some inaccuracies.Comment
