Totally missed this one Andy. It certainly looks a great kit with lots of parts. You have certainly done a very tidy build. Look forward to seeing the camo

Paint arrived today so I had better get this finished, first coat.

Looks a bit dark to me but that is the colour called for in the instructions, no doubt Mr Race will be along in a minute to tell me I should have used 4bo but I don't like Vallejo paints, with the exception of Metal Colour silver which is really good, but I have only brushed that.
Pondering whether to leave it like that, or go for 3 colour camo?

        Andy.

Does a bear s**t in the woods? Is the Pope a Catholic? It has to be the camo scheme for sure. LOL

Well, that did not go too well! Started on the lighter colour camo tonight with crap results, used the paint left from doing the Grad but it seemed to be too thin? No idea why that should be, perhaps it's because I am painting really close freehand because it is way too complex around the suspension to mask and there is too much overspray. I have resprayed the offending bits back to dark green and am almost considering leaving it Parade green, but then again I might be in a better mood tomorrow.

            Grumpy.

The story so far.................not good, it's not finished yet but I reckon it looks a bit iffy, perhaps a re-paint of the camo, or Parade Green or even the bin.

Not the best picture, but time will tell.

              Andy.

Fear not Andy, its never that bad. If your not that happy, strip the paint and start again. Too good to bin.
I had a disaster this afternoon, seal went in my ab resulting in a large blob of paint ! all over the rear deck of my Panser111, out with brush and a load of Anglo Saxon expletives. :disappointed:
What make of paint if not Vallejo, there must be other 4BO available.

Sorry to hear about your mishap John but a good dose of swearing sometimes really helps. :smiling5: I use Tamiya paint by choice and the dark green I used is what Zvezda calls for on the instruction sheet.

                  Andy.

I really like the details on this Zvezda kit, I must say. Especially the turret and suspension, which will unfortunately be hidden. Broadens my horizons as to the level of Zvezda nowadays.
