The Rutscher, ey by gum its small! Easy to park in Tesco's (other shops are available)

Due to my usual health issues i have done bugger all for a few weeks and when i have the urge its too damn hot!

But made a start on my first 'paper panzer, the Panzerkleinzerstorer or for short the Rutscher. Designed by BMW and Weserhutte. Two man crew, fast, very low, tiny and quick and cheap to build, however planned with thin armour!

this made it to the wooden mock up but was dropped in favour of the Hetzer in 1944 but restarted in in early 1945

The gun was a smooth-bore cannon capable of firing fin-stabilized anti-tank shaped charge projectiles, about all i can find not sure why two barells

Made a start on the hull which is in three parts, a lot of flash and tidying to do which being a new kit was annoying!

I would suggest it was fire two shots then run away , reload, come back again.

Yes a baby StuG and a interesting idea, no idea about ammo history but first planned use of stablised shells?

Hi Paul, yes the Stug was a very effective machine but the Tiger and Panther gets all the glamour! Welcome to the world of the StuG lol
