Yes, I absolutely agree David. Now that I'm getting more used to airbrushing I tend to thin the paint (etc.) to suit the job and size of needle I'm using (smaller needle, thinner product) then just play with the air until it's atomising well but not blowing (spidering) everywhere.

And John, that's my biggest bugbear with waterbased acrylics - I tend to spend more time cleaning than spraying I'm finding the new AK paints better in that regard than Vallejo, but they're still not a patch on lacquer paints unfortunately. It's just a pity they are so stinky as it rules them out for many, as for ease of use and cleaning they really are night & day.

Sorry Dave, this whole thread seems to have been led astray!

Andy I don't think so I started it rolling beside we all only learn by talking to each other I suppose it is by nature quite a solitary hobby, I belong to two model clubs Poole Vikings model club(IMPS Dorset) and Poole Scale Modellers (IMPS Wessex) ive learnt so much just talking to guys at meetings their help and encouragement freely given unfortunately covid has ended any form of club meetings for the foreseeable future, like the old bt? add its good to talk.Dave oh if anybody wants a blimp their both on Facebook.
