Sorry Si, come on now Steve great subject choice , you should know better than to expect a shake and bake ,im sure Si will back me up most of them are great little kits you just have to sit down chill and work through them you get a lot more self satisfaction with the end product than building S+B no brainers. Only a leg pull? I look at them as I've only got a ten pound box of problems not wasted thirty or forty quid on something that needs another sixty quids worth of metal tracks and photo etch .
I would insert some of thoes smiley winking face thumb up things at this point but don't know how.
Si well done once again fantastic stuff have been inspired all the way through with this build.
Steve dont you dare diss my beloved tru scale(72nd) pull your socks up and crack on no one likes a winger(or in Harry's case a ginger)once again smiley winker thumbs up hearts . Dave

          Cheers Mike, much appreciated :smiling4:

Well I think I’ve finished for this one. Scratched a couple of ammo crates and made some tarps using VMS paper shaper. Some ropes made from ship rigging and then painted up....

Very good Si. That really has turned out nicely.

How do you find the paper shaper? I've seen night shift use it I've and found it an intriguing idea.

              ATB.

Thanks Fernando, I took a round of pictures this morning but they haven’t come out too well and I see I’ve missed out the glass from the light, I’ll try again later :smiling5:

                Cheers Andrew,
The VMS paper shaper is good stuff and easy enough to use. I found it a lot easier than rolling green stuff or milliput type stuff.
I used the VMS paper this time which is quite thin, I’d like to try some thicker paper next time and put more creases and folds in.

                  Hi Si
That is very good indeed. One to be proud of. The simple base sets it off a treat. That VMS paper stuff looks to work well.
As for UM Kits - I did that SU-100 for the Simon T GB. Not too bad - cheap and cheerful perhaps best described it. I'm sure you'll raise yours to another level.

Cheers Jim, very much appreciated :smiling4: Ive built a couple of UM kits and they do seem to benefit with a few tweaks.

This morning I painted the inside of the light with silver and then fitted the lens, I then gave it all a light coat of matt.
And now then chaps, I’m calling this one done....finally!

I took some pics with both natural light and some under my desk light.
Sorry for the quantity :flushed:....Click image for larger version

Really enjoyed this venture into ruskie stuff, a pleasant change from grey or dark yellow :smiling5:
Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement along the way, it has been greatly received :thumb2:
                    cheers
