Ok, Back on with this one, counting StuG's in my sleep

Primed in my usual Mr Surfacer 1500 thinned 50/50. Goes on so easy and smooth

You may notice that i have used a chain for the first time on the gun crutch, think it looks ok? Plus another first, a tarp over the top of the gun mantlet, this was a normal addition as weather, rain etc could enter the StuG through the large gap

                Bob,

Looking very good as others have said.

Also very helpful for the waffle Zim I have planned for my PSC StuH 42 I have unfinished in a box. I think I've worked out an almost full proof way of doing a representation of it at 1/72...... He says with trepidation.... :fearful:

Works both ways John, if the gunner had currywurst, could be a life saver

                        Hi Bob

Was the gap really that big?

I assume this is because it was hard to make a proper mantlet/cover because of the way the barrel entered the hull and still leaving enough 'leeway' to allow the gun to elevate and depress?

Bob think there must have been various problems like this. My KV -2 has a gap under the gun , either that or I fitted it wrongly

Looks like it has all the upgrades. Beautiful job. Chain & waffle pattern look right on. Can't imagine the factory weather seal had much of a life. PaulE
