    Looking good so far Nick
And like the consensus on PE is, add what enhances the kit not just because it's been supplied
    I think that's Rule 3 of PE

We should compile a proper list of PE Rules
Rule 1 - You will ALWAYS lose pieces to the Carpet Monster
Rule 2 - If it's too small to handle, it's too small to use
    Rule 3 above
    Rule 4 and 5 anyone?

Nick. I know exactly what you mean, Its it me , aka Mike is a masterat PE and all things scratchery.

I have put back into the draw my Aber kits, just can't manage the PE.

Posts crossed Chris, rule 4 Sticking any part to the body is allowed.:smiling2:

Might be a bit 'dense' here, but does rule 3 cover "if you can't see it"?

          Hi Nick
Coming on well, and it is meeting modellers rule 1, the only one that counts! This rule states “it must be fun”......

            Hi All,
Thanks Chris I think I've learnt rule 3 the hard way on this one.
John - what about sticking body part to body part ?? Done that on this build too !
Gerry - totally agree some so small struggle even with the magnifiers.
Tim - my attempts are always fun - they have to be or madness prevails.

            Thanks for looking and comments.
            Nick T.

                  'Allowed', 'compulsory' or 'unavoidable'?
Hmm, Rule 5 - when the PE part is perfectly placed, it will stay attached to the tweezers you're positioning it with

GerryW, interesting point, both physically and meta -physically. If you know it's there, and only you know it's there (in the back of the engine compartment, behind the glued-shut louvres), is that satisfaction, smugness, or 'I wasn't going to let the damn kit beat me!'?

With me, it'd be 'I wasn't going to let the damn kit beat me!', but that's me (bit like the Protar JAWA Speedway bike - the crank and piston moves, but no-one can see it!)

That's coming on very nicely indeed.

                      Well done.

Chris - rule five perfect - done that too every time I tried to let go with the tweezers part came away with them Grrrr !
Gerry - "I wasn't going to let the damn kit beat me !" me too up to the point of throwing it in the bin when frustration takes over.
Andrew - many thanks its certainly a learning time.

                        Thanks again all.

If you get to the point of contemplating chucking it in the bin, walk away, give it a couple of days, then have another look - might work!

                            Good advice Gerry thanks.

Luckily not got to that point with a build yet but come very close.

Nick, if that's the driver figure, his left arm seems to be in an odd position on top of the steering wheel - but it's not far enough over to rest on the Bren, so he's not the gunner misplaced. Hmm...
                                Looking good though.
