With amount of fuel cans you had these will come in handy Steve.:smiling3:

    Excuse us Paul.

Looking good, and can see your reasoning about the door. Of course they wouldn't go to far, they were RAF not us REME types :smiling3::smiling3::nerd:

Cheers John, I have a good mate in the RAF Regiment and I constantly joke "never outside the wire"

So with this in mind I added some stuff to one side only to allow one door to be used. I have no idea if this correct but it works for me.
I also reasoned given this was and RAF vehicle in probably wouldn't wonder that far from home.

A start has been made on the base. The stones still need to be picked out with assorted shades to make them stand out a bit.

Next a building based very loosely on a picture of a North African building. Made from blue foam and given a light coat of plaster it will need a few more coats.

Thank the Lord Scottie!- where would we be without a buffer against lockdown loss of income? My trembling heart can at last rest peacefully!

A bit of pre shading then a couple of thin coats of off white.

started to make some details form some 0.6 bass wood. The window/balcony has mesh instead of glass.

                          cheers
