Decided to detail the kit stowage boxes a little and then thought it would be good to show one of them open. As the plastic was thick and had no base it was easier to make a new one. Once built I added some clutter including some etch plates, jugs and eating irons. A pva cloth, scratched cooker and pot and finally some scratched mugs.

The lid was added with a retaining chain. Which I have just noticed has come adrift.

Not much done again, but work on the turret has started.(photos to follow) sorted out the stowage lockers. And dry fitted the body to the chassis ready to mark out for paint.

The Boyes anti-tank rifle's barrel snapped so I made one from copper rod. It took ages to put a taper on it and it probably needs a bit more. Next the muzzle break was scratched from 3 pieces.

                Hi Scottie
I do like the open storage box. It's detail like that that raises a model above the norm. Well done with the Boyes. Tapering copper rod is a thankless task.
                Jim

Just had a catch up, brilliant scratch building as normal from the master, a great education watching this come together.

Cheers Jim. It's a fairly simple thing but does add some interest hopefully. The barrel could probably do with a bit more taper but it will do for now.
