Finally decided to take a stab at the roof.. was on the fence about the decision..also decided to add an old Sdkfz 2 kettenkrad to the mix. I had built this a long time ago and never did anything with it..pulled it apart…carefully …. and now adding some PE to jazz it up. Thanks for the compliments that everyone has given ..stay tuned for more pics soon.

Groundwork looking good Joe. Roofing not bad...the thatched roof could do with some treatment of weathering. Any natural material normally used in smaller scale tend to look clean and needs treatment to flow with the surrounding. The ends could droop from rain flow...I would use ends of a Chinese pigs hair lacquer paint brush for this. Not too late if you want to try it Joe.
Wow, bling is nicely applied. This is something I seldom do unless its on a ship or if the kit provides PE. But I marvel at those that use and have them on their armoured kits. The Kett will look good painted up with the detail added.

Going along nicely Joe. As Richard says, the groundwork looks excellent, and the thatch is good as well. I can see what Richard means here though, it just looks a little “new”. As to the kettenkrad (or kettle of lard as my spellchecker wanted to call it) the bling really is lifting it above the norm. Well used, PE can add a degree of finesse that plastic cannot match, and you are illustrating that here :thumb2:Comment

Thanks everyone for following and comments, I took Richards advice and have toned down the thatch using some grey and brown washes and also did my best to create a drooping straw edge at the bottom. Thank you Richard for the great suggestions.have had some time recently to work on the kettenkrad..pics attached.. I took some liberties on the cross decal but added some really cool looking decals and license plate holders from a Passion models set of decals.. thumbs up to them for a great little package for this kit.

Thank you all for following and the compliments….I know,,,, I know it’s veryyyyyyy slooooooowww progress and I do apologize…work and chasing that little white ball around the grass has really been occupying my time.. however, I have found some time to give a big push on the landscaping and to begin to position some of the troops. The dio. is the bomb in color or black and white!! Lovely little details that make it "pop". Also, the "gardening" is just right for the camo these guys are sporting.......Tip 'O the Hat to you!:thumb2:
