That's precisely how I thought when I looked at my pics of it with the black tracks.

Happy enough with how they've come out and think like you said it will add another dimension to the King Tiger and Challenger II.

Tracks weathered and fitted and looking ok. Just sprayed up the accessories ready to put on and give some more details.

They do add to the look James, look so much better. Nice job on the accessories too., should have a lovely looking pair of tracked beasts. I have just finished my M41, well, the chassis and top after a dropped disaster and rebuild. Last job was a scratch made intercom system from the rear gunners station to the driver.

Thats some detail you have there. I am awaiting my AK rust pencils set arriving to streak the chipped areas and add to the look.
Starting to think I'm not going to spray the snow camo over the top as it will just obscure a lot of what I've done.

I am tending to agree with regarding not doing the snow camo, you will lose a lot of detailing and you have some lovely, small detail that will just disappear.

This is my PIV with a very light and worn look snow camo.

So yet another project I am only reminded of how dormant it is by the primitive state of my cave in the back ground.

So need space, as modellers always seem to do so going to bother my lazy backside and finish this and then move it along.

Started the chipping, always comes out well in hull red but my god is it slow going!
Also am I the only person who finds it bloody hard to create "random looking" chipping?!

Once this is done I will make stencils, spray on markings and then weather.Click image for larger version
