          Update,
Been a busy day today, last thing yesterday I primed all the brass bar armour and the cab section, assembled the rams for the dozer blade.
Today I sprayed the base coat onto the cab and bar armour, then primed the rams for the d'blade.

Tonight have been busy with detail painting and tomorrow it will be add the few decals and then a wash with the dirt mix to tone things down - getting there :smiling3:
          More later
          Mike.

              Hi Mike
It's been said on many occasions but it seems a shame to cover up all that brass work. However it does look stunning under its coat of paint.

The paint is meant to look rough as it was applied locally with no two machines looking alike - tomorrow the wash....
One glaring item that was missing out of the kit was the front hydraulic pipes to the blade side shifter...

I had to modify the cross member to remove the moulded cover at both ends and make new ones from aluminium sheet the pipes are made from 1mm solder wire with thin copper wire wound around a slightly larger rod and then fed onto the solder wire. Here you can see pipes from the engine compartment which then go across to the Right hydraulic ram....

This is the ram on the right side showing the undersideand left side, there needs to be two holes drilled into it where the pipes are fed into the attachment points, this will be done tomorrow when the c/a has hardened.
                  Cheers,
                  Mike.

                    Update,
So Saturday arrived and I did my duty with the RSPB bird spotting I spotted and Becky did the recording - trouble is that our three 'children' have this thing about birds in the garden - so it was up the road to the local woods - well we do walk the dogs in there and they do consider it to be an extension of their garden....
So got on with the cab, weathering and adding the cab finally to the rest of the 'dozer' - some pics for you....

Notice where I broke off the handle next to the door - since repaired....
And so with nothing better to do this afternoon, I did this....

Now with just a few paint touch ups, and a few details still to add, all that is left is the base which is under way....
Once again thanks for your time and comments.
                    Mike.

Cheers Scottie, still a few finishing touches to add like the hatch and give the bar armour a faint wash to tone down the colour - wonder what mischief I can get up to next???

This is an outstanding representation of a very complex model.
