    Very good start Nick.

How have you find it? I got four of these as soon as they were released - was lucky on price and managed to get them for £17 a piece.

I've heard very good things about all of Vespid kits.

    ATB.

Molds as good as IBG,crisper than some Modelcollect kits, the fit is Tamiya-esque. Only con is the molded on extinguishers on the turret, otherwise it gets a full 100% from me.

They're a Chinese manufacturer that started up a couple of years ago.

They started with a Maus - someone did a 'what if' with it on here a year or two ago. They got my attention because they released the Comet next - it's the only 1/72 injected moulded kit in town (albeit Revell do a rebox of the 1/76 Matchbox kit) and I had been looking for one for ages for Junior and I.

They've done both marks of the Comet now and three Panther kits (a bit OTT TBH IMHO) and have recently released a Jagdpanther - all of which get great reviews.

Thanks for the info. They certainly look very good on the sprue - just not had the chance/courage to tackle them yet.

I've only built one Tamiya kit since coming back to the Hobby (1971 vintage) but I've done both an IBG and Modelcollect kits in the past couple of years, so have an idea of what you mean.

Looking forward to the rest of this coming together.

Progress of sorts today. Got the L/H trackset on, added turret hatches and added internal pads, careful cutting and 6 folds later i made the PE 'iron sight' for cmdrs cupola, looking at the sprues I've got 13 parts and 9 etched bits to go.... i am not fitting 'iron sight' yet incase i damage it

Red napkin, ive gotta laugh.... perfect texture though, i punched 3 holes in piece, slotted it on and used pva solution to dampen, then i added folds and squared it in...... see how this dries......

The sprocket does not seat in with pin, causing misalignment....

That's the one thing I did miss from the kit - no mantlet cover.

Whilst I've seen plenty of pictures of museum pieces with it missing, I don't think I've seen a wartime version with our missing - although I suspect they will be out there if you look hard enough.

                              Keep up the great work.
