1/35 Gecko Mk2 Daimler armoured car

I started this last month so have got on with it I did take pictures upto the current stage. There are a lot of parts and to be honest I'm losing momentum and need a kick up the backside with it.

    Most certainly

Iโ€™ve read that the suspension is difficult to put together, to the extent that people have been designing and offering 3D-printed replacements for it.

Yes there are so many parts involved and nothing has a positive connection and there's 4 of them!

Many, many small parts. Some manufacturers equate a high parts count with good details but the downside is the fiddly construction. Just stick with it. I'll enjoy following your progress.

Gecko Models will do that to you, I am sure the designer is a bit of a masochist. I have built one of their models and have another half built in a box waiting until I can endure more torture.

I'm very close to that but I always finish one before starting the next, I do think the end is in sight.

As i say i am started with the build in Dec. so a bit of a catch up for the next few posts then it'll slow up.
First up was the drivers seat with all the PE brackets underneath shame it's all hidden once fitted.

There's plenty of tie downs etc. to be fitted, I do sometimes consider if they are worth it but I surprise myself sometimes if I use a little patience these are for the rear grill.

Looking good so far Dave. Too many parts does slow progress and sap the mojo I find though. Keep plugging away, and weโ€™ll cheer you on!

I had a hand in restoring one I think it was easier to put back together than the kit.

.... Nice to see the presence of the "ultimate persuader" , for those subtle adjustments in hand in the first pick.

It's a tool I'm very adept with I find it gets most things moving that or the magic spanner (grinder).

Things moved along the PE continued I've never used so much but after making a small applicator to put tiny amounts of cyano on it became easier to do, hull halves went on to the chassis OK a small clamp helped keep it lined up.
A spray of silver (nearly everything inside is silver )and the shells painted and loaded into their boxes im not sure why the boxes were PE and not moulded. Rear steering wheel battery switch panels picked out in black.
