Its been a while since I did anything to this, as I have been building the GMC for the group build.

The engine has been finished off along with the bulkhead and Instrument panel. I haven't done a lot to the drivers compartment because once the cab has been fitted you will be able to see precious little inside.

Nice looking instrument panel but as you say very little will be seen in that armoured cab. Have you decided whether the engine will be on show?

Jim, I think I will leave the side panels off to show the engine as it is nicely detailed.

At least it should add some interest.

I intend to have one of the cab doors open. As the kit one was very thick and not well detailed I fashioned a new one from some styrene sheet. The rivets were added from pewter, you may have noticed that the middle two rows of rivets have been removed as they are not shown on my reference pics. The new door handles were made from copper wire and the window shutter slides from plastic sheet finally the catch on the shutter from brass sheet.

the bottom rail still needs a little cleaning up.

IIRC, there were two types of cab: one with doors and side walls bent from one piece, and another that had them fabricated from two flat pieces of steel, riveted together.
