6 of those sprues,90 links per side...see you in a couple weeks!!:tears-of-joy:.... To be fair, there's no clean up required, and the detail is excellent:thumb2:.Ill be getting stuck into them this afternoon.....
Erm, this may sound strange even deviated. But I enjoyed doing the tracks on the Chally, even if I did but a couple of the links upside down!!!

....also very nice . Not sure what I'll do with them, but the plan is to put the Tiger on a little base,so I might incorporate them into that somehow .
Until this evening then......

Please, SOMEONE,tell me what the attraction of having a cat is?!!
It's the knowledge that somewhere, someone is stepping out into their garden all dressed to the nines and stepping into the parcel your cat has left them.

Andy,
Just had a catch up on your build.
You are forgiven for the zimmerit, the stick on stuff looks good, did I miss the maker?
The wheels are really good and the finish of the mud behind them sets them off.
Looking forward to more.
There was a report on YT that there has been a Tiger II found rusting away.

Thanks Mike, the Zimmerit is from Tamiya's "Detail up Parts set" range,it's very easy to apply, you just need a VERY sharp blade. The instructions for placement to the kit parts are superbly done too :thumb2:.
I'll have a look for that You Tube clip

Just had a really good catch up Andy. It's looking very good. Could well fulfill your wish for it to be you best. Mr Cock Up is being kept at bay. That zimm looks very good. Is a like 3D decals where the advice I've seen is to reinforce the glue with PVA??

The Zimmerit doesn't need any additional treatment, it has a very efficient self adhesive, just peel it from the backing paper and apply..... it's very satisfying stuff to use actually.

... those individual links are VERY time consuming, but not exactly taxing!!
I thought I'd get both sides done tonight, but no,this took some fettling!....

Those Tiger IIs always look better with a side skirt missing You’ll probably want to remove the last rib you left on the front section, though: those were part of the skirt piece behind it, in reality just a slightly raised edge to fit over the section in front.

The second plate overlaps the first one because it has a step formed at the front end. There is no “rib” as such…..

This one:

These are not separate pieces on the real tank, but like Tim said, steps formed into each plate so it fits over the one in front, like you can see in the photo he posted. As such, the ledge would not be there at the rear of a plate if the one behind it is missing. (And, if you’ve got some thin plastic strip, you may want to re-add it the front of that same plate, where you did cut it away )

Thanks very much for that, it's all become clear now :thumb2:,appreciate you taking the time it post the images up.
I do indeed have some various thicknesses of plastic card,so will add it to where I cut the wrong one off
Cheers again both

Where would we be, Andy, if people like Jakko and Tim didn't have their encyclopaedic knowledge and were willing to share it.
Most importantly they do it in a helpful, non critical way.

Now, Andy, get on with correcting your cock up :smiling: :smiling::smiling2:
