That was the job where I got a nice smooth finish with the float - the promptly got up and walked all over it..... As for the cake, could never get the mix right, it was either hard in the bowl or running down the sides of the cake....

Where did the Scimitar for in. Was it before the 432, same time?

They introduced the Scimitar/Scorpion to the British Army in 1974, but we were allowed to play with them about a year earlier, and they were sent to us in Munster so that prying eyes could not see them in the UK. So we just belted them around the barracks and basically ran them into the ground, and then we were asked what we thought of them.
The 432 was much earlier and we had them about 1970, during which time due to all leave being used up, a couple of us 432 drivers got the job of changing all the tracks on the company 432's, and a few days later we were given the job of fitting the 'SCAT' mount (Should'nt Cost A Tenner) for the 120mm WOMBAT Anti-tank gun to all the company vehicles which before were only carried inside and dismounted for firing. Now the gun was above the roof and could fire, but still had to stop...

              Update,
Will be thinning down the tie down on the rear stowage bin, that rope looks like it could hold the QE2 to the dock...
Tracks are now in primer/track primer and will be soon at the complete stage.
Decided to replace the stowage bin on the left side as the right side is now taken up with the new exhaust, exhaust pipe extension and soon the antennae stowage tube.
