I agree on the custard but it seems the Mrs fancied a bowl of custard on its own for lunch so I got the leftovers

Managed a bit more time at the bench adding all the bits to the casement such as hatches and handles.

Dragon gives you the option to model the hatches open or closed and I reckon with a bit of care you could have them moveable . The part count is quite high but not unpleasant to assemble .

Right up to the last few bits now. The Aber barrel and muzzle break went on as did the pistol ports complete with plugs on chains a travel lock and other bits and bobs…..

Just a tool box, tow cable cables and of course the tracks to make. I’ll scan through the destruction one last time to make sure I’ve not missed anything then crack on with the tracks…

looking good! Not sure if tool box was moved around the back on some Ferdis. Are you going to use kit tracks?

Thanks Paul, I think you might be right on the tool box positioning …..pretty sure I’ve seen them on the back in a reference picture somewhere
The kit comes with magic tracks so will be using them :thumb2:

Hi Si. Toolbox relocation was part of the factory refurb that turned them into Elefants, alongside the addition of zimmerit and relocation of spare track links . Basically, if it’s a Ferdinand, leave the tool box where it is…..

Thanks Tim, I hadn’t picked up that it was one of the things altered during refurbishment…..thanks for the info :thumb2:

Well as you know I’ve got a deal with the modelling pixies….. they do them for me when I go to bed and all I have to do is make a sacrificial offering of PE to the carpet monster :smiling4:
