Update,
Well after the debacle of the MIG surface primer going TU on me I reverted to a gloss white (Tamiys X-2) and went back over the ammunition containers that are going to be various colours (Yellow, Light Blue,) with the others in Olive Drab and Black....
The base is starting to take shape...
And once dry the whole thing will be painted black, and then the groundwork will be picked out in various shades of sand/earth colours...
To go on the base will be ten Euro pallets, five of which are ready for paint...
Some of these will be used as the pallet transport for the ammunition containers along with the carriers and ratchet straps...
To go along with these I went to work with Photoshop scanned and copied the decal sheet, then produced two sheets on the printer, sprayed with matt varnish and now awaiting the containers.
and finally this is the interior of the hull before the top goes on...
The ratchet strap and chain hooks have been added and once the top goes on, then I will replace the soft weld lines around the outside of the top.
And that is it for now.
Update,
More work on the turret interior...

And the hull has finally got the fire extinguishers in place...

Now just a couple of ratchet straps to add and the lid can go on and then I can start to build the kit...
That really is superb Mike! Crack on mate - looking forward to the masterpiece at Endex
It is from an etch set I had forgotten about - produced by Pro Art Models, it comes with other fitments as well which is where the hooks for the chain came from. BUT, if you have ever had the fun of assembleing ABER hinges etc then you know what a joyfull time you will have... They reccomend using fine wire, but I only used one piece, the rest was from thin plastic rod - yes! I bottled it. The strap itself was from some pre painted printer paper.
Update,
The base has had a base(excuse the pun)coat of black, and on top of that I will be spraying different thinned shades of 'sand' colour followed by some pigment brushing, ie brush dipped in pigment and brushed... The card at the top is to go around the outside to protect the matt black of the base itself...
The ammunition containers are now ready for the coat of matt varnish, and that will be that part of the job finished....
Apart from the white decalsfor the Olive Drab containers, all the others came from the one I scanned and printed onto clear decal sheet...
More later
Mike.
