You’ve painted it in what looks like Afghanistan camouflage, and though I’m not really up to speed on vehicles used there (Fennek or otherwise), when I look for photos I don’t see camouflage netting on them there much, or at all. In Europe, yes:

… but those won’t have the sand-coloured patches painted over the three-colour NATO camouflage.

Very neat camo Andy. I've not seen the window slats & wire cutter additions before (photo above).

Thanks Paul. Possibly a bit too neat as one of the pictures I'm working from shows that sandy colour to be actual mud daubed over the nato scheme :tears-of-joy:

You can always dirty it up a bit by adding a bit more colour variation to the patches, to make them look more like dried mud than paint? Add an all-over wash of mud/dust colour to tie it together and it’ll soon look like mud camo, I’d think.

As Tom Jones would sing "Its not unusual" for me to totally miss something on here. Great little build mate, love that interior.

In the absence of any suggestions I worked with what I had - the finest gauze I could find in an old first aid kit. I soaked it in a pva & paint mixture then draped it over the front end.

St John's finest also provided some micropore tape that was cut into random strips and attached over the "netting". Various colours were painted on and it doesn't look as bad as I was expecting.

I’d say you came up with a good way to replicate the netting, certainly
