This must be a pain to prep for train/road transport given the width of the added armour.
The rear shackles had all the moulded detail removed. The correct type of storage was fabricated from thin strips of brass sheet, punched nut detail and plastic rod. I left one of the shackles off just for a bit of interest.
cheers

This is a large vehicle with lots of things to damage when handling. Then I had a brainwave and I don't know why I haven't thought of it before. I had a camera stand that I don't use and by drilling and tapping a whole in the bottom of the kit I have the perfect adjustable and very stable stand.
cheers

And we all sit here scratching our heads in wonder, and now digging deep into the back of the wardrobe looking for that defunct camera stand.....Comment

At long last all the building is done and all sub assemblies have been completed. Each of the assemblies have been left off to allow for easier painting and detailing. I decided to use the kit bar armour even though it is a bit chunky. I did have a go at making my own from brass strip. The frames and horizontal slats were easy enough to make and solder up the problem was adding the vertical spacers. I had nothing that would cut the slots to allow the horizontal slats to notch into.
The smaller items such as wing mirrors etc will be added when all is done.
I have had a play with the spade, but I might redo it.
cheers
