A bit more progress. The allied stripes have been completed and decals added and the remaining parts are ready for priming.
I've also assembled and dry fitted the tracks. They now need painting. I've had to add some tape on the back for now to stop them from unclipping from each other. I can see these are to be a bitnof a pain to add to the tank later.

Looking good, though. As for weathering, a good way to start is an all-over wash of a suitable earth colour. This will make the model look like it’s dirty all over, and it’s not that hard to make it thicker (more paint, less water) around the lower parts of the model to show that that is dirtier than the upper parts.Comment

Slow but steady progress.
I did a dark grey pin wash and then an overall black/brown wash.
I've also got a base for it, which I'll paint up. I feel like I'm cheating with this after seeing all the scratch built bases on this site but I have to start somewhere.
The instructions propose each track to be made up of 68 links but I needed an extra one. Other people on the Internet have had the same problem. I'll paint these up and hopefully get them fitted properly.
Still enjoying the build and hopefully this will soon be my first completed model of 2024.

That does indeed look very good - the wash came out well, as did the tracks. I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to the individual link tracks on my Tamiya Tiger 1.Arnold Judas Rimmer BSc SSc

The only thing I can suggest is do what myself and quite a few guys on here do is do a few links at a time during the building process. It becomes less of a chore and you will soon have them done.Comment

I've managed to paint the tracks. I used a mix of 50% brown, 40% nato black and 10% red. I'll weather them later with the rest of the tank.
They were very difficult to attach and I needed lots of superglue. They're not perfect by a long way and with a few flaws but they're my first ever completed tank tracks so I'll take them. I also snapped one of the guns amd the carpet monster has swallowed it. I'll try and patch this up before doing more weathering.
