I take it you’ve become one of the great legion of people who love Windows updates?

Everything was fine until WTF! Managed to fix it once, but now exactly the same course of action does NOTHING!
So, no piccie updates on anyghing from me for who knows how long!
Can you remove the SD card and just stick it in a USB SD card reader? (assuming your PC doesn't have a slot?)

If I HAD a card reader, but that IS an alternate option I hadn't considered. That might also help 'recover' my pics from Rome and Vigna de Valle, as research has shown, because the camera stores to card in month dated folders. Which makes everything in that folder innaccesible if the foldrs aren't locked, and it flips to a new month and creates a new folder, even when there's still some space on the SD card

We're going to lose so much data... "We lost the entire fifteenth century the other day. Still, that's just a few corrupt popes"

LOL! Yeah, I do wonder how much of the data we have now we'll still have access to in 20 years time.

And now I'm back! As we've started using the SD card reader slot on the PC. I didn't even know it had a reader slot!

I maintain it’s far simpler to take pictures with a tablet (or a phone) and upload them to the forum directly from it

All well and good, excrpt... I have neither a mobile or tablet. And I've never had need of one. Oh, perhaps one occasion in the last thirty years
Now, if you'll excuse me, the twentieth century is calling me back...

That’s a good enough reason, I grant you (FWIW, I’m on my third iPad in thirteen years, third iPod in twenty years, and zeroth cellphone in my life.)

Yep - I'm the same. I still use an ooooold Nokia, MP3 with wired earplugs (only because I can't afford a proper walkman) and an actual camera - which is about 12 years old.

It’s mostly just that I have no use for one. I mean, I have an an iPod touch, which is really just an iPhone without the phone and GPS. But the few people who want to call me, can do so when I’m at home. Which I am 99% of the time anyway.
