Very nice as expected Paul, any luck with those missing bits yet, if you find my handle while your looking :nerd:

A small update more to check I am posting things correctly. The hull halves are now together just a little filler required.

That join looks good. I hate it when long joins, especially fuselage halves, don't behave.

Jim, thanks mate I am surprised as location points on this kit do leave a bit to be desired.

          Hi All,
I have been slowly plodding away. I have replaced the stowage locker on top of the engine cover with a brass replacement. The kit one just looked to neat and precise, I wanted to show it dented from the crew walking on it.

          |Next was the front mudguard. I made a new one out of brass to replace the kit part as I wanted to show a bit of a dent.

          Off to Brampton tomorrow.

          cheers

I am struggling with the mojo for this build. I have been trying to add details but they are fighting me all the way. Possibly because some of the bins are not square but a series of angles that are hard to get right. Still here it is so far.

The large bin behind the front mudguard is made from brass sheet, I tried to show a bit of cloth hanging out hopefully it will look more convincing when painted.

I have started on the bins on the other side. According to the instructions it has this type of bin fitted to the rear mudguards when used in the desert. I couldn't work out how it would be opened so I took a punt and went for the front dropping down, so I removed the moulded plastic and made a lid from sheet and added the clasp and hinge.

It is probably no where near correct but those of you who no me, that has never got it my way
