    i put together 5 more tanks still three to go but pics of where they are at now [ATTACH]44955.vB[/ATTACH] 1 tiger, 4 sherman,still waiting on a tiger coming,jagd done still needing pin wash on this one,still no figures yet,and working out fox holes,ridges,and triage area plus 1 jeep.Now i know why people enjoy model making lol

        been working on the allies side for placement of bits [ATTACH]45033.vB[/ATTACH] trees,foxholes,and such like,really hard to get stuff on the ardennes its mostly about bastogne

            thnx aaron it helps in some ways,but is there any visual references on the allies as to how they were postioned in the forest,i have new pics from people but not pics from the time,the new pics show how foxholes looked,and thats about it lol

              I wouldn't get too worried about it Ole. The Ardennes campaign was very fluid & any defensive positions would have been made on haste. So foxholes would be more like scrapes in the ground.

              What I would think of is the many blocking actions that successfully held up the German advance, usually at great cost to the US forces.

                you`re right there wifey said same thing,this is based on the first wave after the first lot of shelling,when the allies were taken by surprise

                  Well if it's the initial attack, don't go for whitewashed vehicles as there was no snow at that time. Snow didn't start falling in any great amount until 22/12, almost a week into the attack.

                        just a small update to this monster i`m building,added muddy track lines and painted foxholes with starter colours,also place tanks as i would like them,the sherman at the front and in the middle has been hit 3 three times so sort of blocked the way abit [ATTACH]45112.vB[/ATTACH][ATTACH]45113.vB[/ATTACH]in the first i might have a fire effect and mortally wounded hanging out the top.

                                i used a sponge for the camo,tried it and it is a good method,will use it more in future
