Is that to do with your art work Alex ? Because from what I've seen of it it's well worth paying for

Thanks for the compliment, Ian! Sadly the business is not art, but instead buying and selling vintage and retro items. Fingers crossed it brings in the money as this will be my main job.

Nice to see you back Alex.... Though we'd lost you

How you get 1/72 stuff to this level of detail is really impressive... Keep the updates coming !

Good luck in your new venture as well.

Here's a few more pics of my WIP............I have added a filter over the camo, and then rain and rust streaks. I also managed to create a ghosting effect where the side skirts have been pulled away from the hull. I haven't touched the tracks yet.

On the engine deck I added some armoured panels, and have tried to make them look like rusty metal plates that have been replaced in the field. Hopefully

you can just about see the texture of my 'rust.'

This last photo was the worst of the bunch and the only way I could make it view-able was to turn it b&w. Anyhow, at least I can show you my attempt at rain/rust streaks and chipping.

                More soon.........

                        This is superb Alex.

The rusty metal plates are terrific!! You did this texture with pigments? The colour is perfect...

                        Keep the pics coming.

                              Polux, thanks mate!

                              For the rusting:

                              1) I painted some rust coloured oil paint onto the panels and exhausts, then stippled/dabbed dark brown pastel dust that I'd scraped from a pastel stick.

                              2) While still damp I then dropped some diluted rust oil colour onto the panels, especially around the bolts, and this spreads out on its own, just like a pin wash, and helps change the colour of certain areas.

                              3) I then dabbed some black Mig pigments into the brown (but you can use black pastel just as successfully).

                                Hello stranger!

You are doing a fantastic job on that KT. The detail you are putting into it is worthy of a 1/35 !! I take my hat off to you!

Good luck with the new venture.
