Dragon - 1/35 - Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn

Ok guys, I'm just about to start this beast.

Over 700 pieces, some pe parts, brilliant barrel plus AFV 88mm ammo kit. It's gonna be great

Now the question to you. Which unit should I do?

    3-

    Regards

    Bart

    Nice choice!!

I think the Dragon kits are the best so far. I do a Panzer IV with this tracks, and you can do amazing works with it! I wish to build another, now than I have learn more things.

That's a fantastic kit to weathering the inside part, will do old and used?

    Mmmm...Ok, will give my vote!

    Cheers

Wow Bart, that is a beast. Must admit I couldn't decide between each of the schemes either, but I voted for the one I think looks the best.

            Hi all,

Little update. Camo pattern no 2 have won and it will be in initial version of vehicle. I already started making the model, but wanted to show a bit more then assembled wheels

Some observations on this Dragon kit.

Assembly guide is a big f***n mess. Excuse my language. Some parts are on the pictures, but not described which one is it and you need to search through all spruces to find it. The same is with marking version of th vehicle (early, initial of modified), is a struggle to figure it out what is what. Second thing, why the hell you have workable tracks if you need to cement wheels to the hull, because they are loose and no rubber inserts in the kit.. Will need to find some.

apart from that, kit is great. Everything fits better than fist to a mug.

            Regards,

            Bart.

                Update

I've finished the cannon with mounting. Quite a lot of work I must say, but I'm very happy with the result.

                Slowly getting there

                Cheers,

Go luck Bart, looking great so far. Some really nice detail even before painting etc...but 700 pieces would do my head in.

A cracking start and the detail is impressive. Looking forward to seeing more.

Dragon is like Rolls Royce among others models. Highly detailed and quality parts. I'll be watching your built. It's the one of most interesting Germans vehicles. Good luck. Bart.

                        Hi guys,

sorry for a long break, but I've been on holidays. Came back couple days ago and back to work on mighty Nashorn.

I need to speed up a little bit, as I wanted to join helicopter GB

                        Have almost finished gun.

Just wash to be done on this. That's my first time I used this hairspray technique. Tell me if you like it
