    Very very nice work Patrick.

Errr....I don't understand! The base colour is acrylic, not? And then you add the oil colours...or you have painted all the tank directly with oils

Thanks for your kind words Tommy Moni & Polux!

Polux the base coat is gloss green acrylic & then I use oils to vary the colour. Some people use the ' dot wash ' technique, but I've changed this slightly by adding tiny dots of paint to the area I'm working on. These dots are complimentary colours, different shades of green & brown. Then I use a short stiff brush to spread the paint around & blend it together. It adds a nice visual effect.

      Cheers

      Patrick

Looks absolutely great! What did you use to cover the tracks while painting?

                  cheers Benny

Thanks Benny, I used an old pair of latex gloves, stretched around the tracks! Works well & much easier than masking them with tape.

Great idea! If using friuls, it is not necessary but with other tracks it might be a great help! thx for the hint

Whilst waiting for other things to dry / glue / cure / get better by magic (!), I thought I'd bring this one out of its box.

Most of the new stuff is chipping, both by hand & sponge - I'm going for a heavily weathered look.
