    Elefant italeri

    Hi guys,

I just started building this old kit from italeri.

With a few tweaks you can build a nice model although there are some wrong details... But the main reason of our hobby should be fun ;-)

So I applied self made zimmerit, a antenna, an metal machine gun and friul tracks...

The gear is completely workable ;-)

So the camo get on it...

And some figures for the diorama are assembled ;-)

So... Still work in progress ;-)

    Cheers Benny

It's looking good Benny! You probably know that old kit is quite inaccurate due to mistakes being made when sizing up the original example at Aberdeen, but to my mind, it's still an Elefant! The zimm & the camo look great, will be following your progress.

        Cheers

        Patrick

I've always wanted to build a tank with actual working suspension and this is it

It's very good so far Benny

                    Thx ;-)

Yes Patrick it's quite inaccurate... But it doesn't bother me ;-) our hobby is still mainly fun :-)

The figures are from the zvezda tank crew kit and the horse is from the tamiya "mounted Wehrmacht" kit.

The tack is made of tamiya masking tape :-)

The one guy has a pipe and the other got a cigarette made on my own ;-)

                    Don't know if I make smoke...anyone any idea? :-)

The tracks and running gear is complete.

The first washing is also done ;-)

                    Cheers Benny

That's looking so nice you wouldn't know it wasn't a more modern Tamiya or Dragon kit!

                            Thanks :-)

The dio will be called "Horse meets Elefant" ;-)

I think you can use something like wool for smoke of cigarettes... I'll try later ;-)

                            Cheers Benny
