My only problem with bare metal is: how long would it stay shiny whilst out in all weathers? I admit, its a bugbear of mine, like excessive rusting.

If I might be so bold, perhaps adding a little dark brown (burnt umber) in the bare metal spots would seem more realistic?

I'm prepared for the backlash!

It won't stay like this. Next move is gloss on, decals and wash, then rustying the spots so it will look like a bit more realistic. And of course some stains and other dirt on

The chipping effect looks very soft, but personally I like it very much

Mmmphh...it's a pity there isn't a winter camo... Anyway is looking very good so far.
